A Deeper Dive into Stimulus Control on ABA on Call with Drs. Rick Kubina and Doug Kostewicz - I really enjoyed this, and I think it shows that we need to continuously have or listen to discussions on the principles of behavior, no matter how well we think we “know” or “understand” a topic!
Another interesting listen is New Tools to Improve Retention & Recruiting with Dr. Jacob Bradley on Building Better Businesses in ABA. The development of a “retain assessment” helps employers identify candidates who will stay longer in the job. Could be useful, but I can’t help thinking that it’s a pity that we need such measures to assess burn-out and “jadedness”. We need a change in the system!
I did not realize until I read the latest Standard Celeration Society newsletter that Dr. Hank Pennypacker had passed away recently. The last released episode of the ABA and PT podcast features Dr. Pennypacker - check out Try the Chart to hear about just some of his enormous contributions and achievements, including his work in breast cancer identification and as a master precision teacher. Rest in peace, Dr. Pennypacker.
I did not attend the Annual Standard Celeration Society Conference in Florida, USA, this past weekend, because it’s very far away. So I have nothing to share! But here is a video by Clay Starlin from Heart the Chart so I can make a small PT contribution.
